With thirty-five years of clinical experience, Brian is a seasoned practitioner and psychotherapist whose work is deeply informed by a rich personal life journey. He is happily married and the father of three adult children, including one serving in the Armed Forces.

Over the years, Brian has experienced divorce, the loss of a spouse to cancer, and the ongoing responsibilities of caring for his 93-year-old father. These experiences have shaped his approach with resilience, empathy, and an unwavering belief in the power of connection.

Brian meets men exactly where they are. He understands that many men carry silent burdens and were raised to believe they need to handle everything alone. Some men come to therapy ready to explore their emotions, while others prefer a more practical, action-oriented approach.

Brian supports both, adapting his style to fit each person’s unique needs. Therapy with Brian isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about slowing down, cultivating honest reflection, and taking meaningful steps toward what matters most. Whether you’re navigating grief, relationship transitions, or significant life changes, Brian offers a calm, grounded space to reset and move forward.

Brian draws from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s needs. He uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process painful or traumatic memories, so the memories feel less distressing over time. He also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts. In addition, Brian uses narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and ecological systems theory to support clients in reshaping their stories, building on strengths, and understanding the impact of their relationships and environments.

Outside of his practice, Brian enjoys hiking, travelling, gardening, reading, and spending meaningful time with his family. These moments reflect the same values that guide his work: nurturing relationships, staying curious, and being fully present.
